The internet/bandwidth consumption on Viaplay varies depending on the image quality being streamed. If you experience buffering during playback, or if you want to save surf/bandwidth, you can manually adjust the image quality in the Viaplay app on your mobile device or tablet.
You can access this feature on your Profile in the app. You’ll be able to find it in the menu at the bottom right corner alternatively at the top left of the screen. Go to app settings and click Video Quality. The higher the quality you play the material in, the more data is consumed. Below you can see how much data is expected to be consumed for each option:
- HD – 2.5GB/h
- High – 1.8 GB/h
- Average – 500 MB/h
- Low – 150MB/h
